I tested the Wheelssc12844S1.D64 on winvice without emulating an REU and I get a message that Wheels requires ram expansion. I was going to post a screenshot but I do not know how.
I re-run with winvice emulating a 512K reu. And everything went just fine.

Yeah, from what I have read, Wheels *requires* an REU. I don't own a real one, so I am limited to VICE. If it works fine in VICE, then I guess I need to try it (so many possibilities, so little time).

You probably have seen this. cbm8bit.com/operating-systems/wheelsIn any case the two files called Wheelssc12842S1 and Wheelssc12842S2 are possibly the best copy of original disks although they are not master disks. The other two called Wheelssc12844S1 and the Wheelssc12844S2 are the same but updated to version 4.4. There is also a version WheelsHD which seems to be the one you may need. If it does not work I would start with the Wheelssc12842S1.d64 and use that to install. Then you can upgrade to wersion 4.4 The three jpg files are the instruction for the upgrade. Site is password authenticated? Or is it the ole' pub thing? Help. I forget LOL!

They work great. 1541UII REU, CMD HD Native Partition, C128 w/64k VDC. Installed off a 1571 perfectly fine. Booted from the CMD native partition perfectly.

What do I need to do to make this running? I attempted to simply copy the files to the hard drive and run from there. It got stuck in the boot process. Do I have to boot off disks first?

My internal drive is broken so I’m unable to boot through that. Maybe it works to emulate a 1541 on the HD?
