Umm, yeah, Win 8 is a reasonably "slick" interface, unfortunately it lacks REAL functionality of SERIOUS users. I mean I do various work for many companies... some use MAC OS, some use WIN 7, (or even XP/VISTA)... but no business (so far) uses Win 8 because IT IS NOT PRODUCTIVE... or rather COUNTER PRODUCTIVE. My opinion, flame away if you disagree!
Edit I've been drinking tonight, so I will run my mouth on this topic (shock!). It seems M$ designed a great OS for senior citizens and pre-teens, but TOTALLY neglected their core audience of Yuppies! Well, I don't have access to M$ user profiles, but I imagine that most users are either businesses or middle-aged home users... why would they (or any serious business) spite/ignore such a (large) audience? Pretty stupid from my perspective... but I'm not a multi-billion dollar corporation, so who knows?

I can't believe they neglected the gaming segment of computer users. Maybe not as large as business users, but quite large none the less. I am starting to see why gamers hate 8/8.1, with those damned little "icons" that magically appear on the right hand side of the screen, and screw up the game you are trying to play. That's just one issue. Apparently M$ has asked certain HP users to offer their input as to what they would like in the next OS. I wonder what makes them think HP users will have any real ideas?

Yeah, they should ask all registered users. But at least they are asking... it makes me hopeful, but I won't hold my breath I have Dell. Dell is popular right? Wonder why they don't ask me? Oh yeah, because I would write 88 page article that nobody would have the time to read
