For several months, we have been concentrating on C128 programs at our FCUG meetings. What better way to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the C128! The programs ranged from productivity to telecommunications to graphics to games. At the September meeting, I brought out an oldie but goodie, Alien Invaders, a.k.a. 128Invaders. It's been around since 1988, and back in the day, I played around with it. It took an Atariage forum posting from Darrell Spice, the creator of the game, to remind me about how great that game was. When I showed it to the club members, they were amazed at how smoothly, how nicely it played in 80-column mode. At the forum I asked Darrell about another 80-column game that he was developing back then, but he replied that got rid of his C128 system and all notes/code relating to that game. Anyway, back to Alien Invaders... It can be downloaded from Atariage, but you have to be a member to do that. To download the program without any strings, go to www.os2world.com/wiki/index.php/Alien_Invaders_for_the_C%3D_128and click on the Download link there. Awesome game, I remember finding it on some user group disk that I had back in the day and I still have it in my (very limited) C128 game collection today. I was amazed back then that it actually used on the 80col screen. Thanks for reminding me of this awesome game! Off to play some Alien Invaders!

Thanks RobertB!! I need to download/test this... (I don't have the time tonight).
But I do remember a cool "Space Invaders" game for 80-column GEOS around the same time period. It was fun, it was in color (strange for GEOS 80-column), and the color worked on 16K VRAM systems (nice for poor users like myself).
The game I'm remembering is probably not the same as your post RobertB, but I hope to verify and compare (give me some time)...
