With hundreds of friends, family, Commodorians, and Amigans in attendance, CBM Amiga engineer R.J. Mical celebrated his 60th birthday on March 19-20 in a big blow out at his house. Below are some relevant links. First up is the C64 game especially created for R.J.. Entitled RJ's Super Psychedelic Birthday Trip!, the game was created by Bruce Gottlieb with the use of the sideways version of the Shoot'Em Up Construction Kit. See "RJ Mical's gift - RJ's Super Psychedelic Birthday Trip!" at youtu.be/QDbhBMIkiU0Then there is "RJ Mical's birthday speech" at youtu.be/zLgpmzrzre0Finally, "Pics from RJ Mical's birthday celebration" are at blog.retro-link.com/2016/04/pics-from-rj-micals-birthday-celebration.html Truly, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htmP.S. (To make this post C128-relevant) A few weeks later when I was in the Bay Area again in order to pick up the collection of a C= user who was divesting himself of most of his gear, one of the flat C128's was given to game programmer Bruce whose current C128 was doing poorly.

First link failed for me "vulnerable Flash player"... my bad... I should probably upgrade to version 799... Second link has really psychedelic color... and great speech... thanks for sharing!! Third link had many nice photos, but not enough context for me to comment... Anyway, thanks, robertb, for sharing with us. Only thing is, I don't know who RJ Mical is... I surmise he was a key Amiga engineer, but otherwise I am clueless... can anybody share the history?

...I don't know who RJ Mical is... I surmise he was a key Amiga engineer... Look at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_J._MicalIf I may say, since the father of the Amiga computer, Jay Miner, passed away many years ago, it seems that R.J. is the one that Amigans look up to now. The uncle of the Amiga computer? Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm
