I was nothing short of awestruck at the job you did on the first one of these over at The Forum That Vanished. That you are doing it all over again… Wow. I have no words for how impressed I am. Sir, I salute you!

Thanks. I figure it needs to be done.... and now it has been completed! I revised the Keyword page with a compact table at the beginning followed by a more detailed one table. 181 pages within the Enclopedia, plus about 10 more outside.

Great job! Thank yo once again! Huge project, really well done, and I think important in a make the C128 stand out a bit more from the 64 way. And way better than the BASIC reference 128 PRG or System Guide. Maybe someday I'll get a bright idea about a program I need and actually created something worthwhile beyond the entertainment/learning value crapola stuff I do now.

Thanks again for the positvie words. I noticed that Google gives references to many inferior web pages... of course I am 100% biased, but YOU can (should?) post a link to my website if you think it would help CBM Programmers... then maybe Google will give it a higher ranking... P.S. This is on an add-free site, so I make/loose no money regardless of what you do... but if you think it is valuable to CBM programmers, then consider postiing a link that refers to sites.google.com/site/h2obsession/CBM/basic for every Commie's benefit. I mean, really, truly, that I would just like to see more software for CBM computers (the C128 in particular). So this is my personal effort to motivate everyone on planet Earth. I hope it helps...

Thanks again for all your kind words. But really, I *am* prepared for "in-your-face" / "blunt" criticisim too. As long as it is constructive! In other words, if you can say "hey stupid, you forgot to mention XXX" or maybe "you got it wrong! XXX should be YYY" then I am cool with that. Should you post such things, I'll do my best to update/correct my Encyclopedia. Just don't bother with non-constructive comments, like "you suck" (umm... nice opinion?) I have noticed a spike on my website related to C128 BASIC... so at least somebody finds it helpful. Hey, if it produces more C128 software, then I am happy Also, Google has moved the page up from "nowhere" to about #30. So thanks to everyone I do not know, who put the word out. The only thing that bothers me is that many of the "higher" (less than 30) pages reported by Google are not very good for C128 BASIC reference. Obviously my opinion is 100% biased, but if you google and test for yourself, I am pretty sure you will agree. So anyway, thanks to all who have spread the word! And if you have not, or you find another opportunity, please post a(nother) link to sites.google.com/site/h2obsession/CBM/basic/keywords (*if* you think it would help others) EditUmm... I guess that sounds very arrogant of me... but *truly* I don't care if I rank down at #99... as long as the other 98 pages are better! If they are inferior, then something needs to change...

Google seems to have altered their algorithms in order to return less useful results. I’ve been really noticing it on Google Maps these past few days.

Yeah, I should get a GPS for my car (or a smart phone). I had to go to new job site a few weeks ago, and as usual I pulled up a map on Google before I headed out. Well it was the right street, but the facility was located a few miles away from what Google said. An interesting thing is looking at "street view", I was skeptical right away. I wanted to verify the building address before I left, and there were big numbers on the outside of the building in the "street view" photo, but they were blurred out (the other parts of the image were razor sharp). It is like they know they are wrong

Going off-topic a bit, but Google sure is strange in how it ranks pages. When I checked today, I didn't see my CBM BASIC Encyclopedia in the top 100! Here is one link that sounds like it should be informative: Commodore BASIC. It had a rank around #30. Well in my humble opinion it is pretty crappy! Just a simple page with a few links to other sites... no real information at all. Please post if you disagree! In other words, it is quite strange/disappointing that a comprehensive reference like mine isn't listed (in the top 100) but that other "simple" page scores pretty high. Although it personally peeves me that my site can't be found, more importantly the other top 100 sites were inferior. My opinion of course, but if you compare the content, I think you will agree.
I changed a few things that may (probably not) increase the rankings. If you have any suggestions, do tell! As stated before, I don't really care where my page ranks... as long as the higher-ranked pages are better than mine. Right now, this is sooooo not true.
Yeah, SEO is compeletly off-topic, so I appologize, but hey its the weekend, I've been drinking, and this really urks me.
Edit Well, today I see that CBM Basic is in *my* top 10 pages (i.e, pages visited on my site)... but it still ranks very low in Google! So thanks everyone who has visited my BASIC Reference. Your continued interest will (maybe) boost the rankings with Google. ANYWAY, it seems this reference is being used (by a few?) and I really hope it is accurate and informative. Thanks to all that have replied before... I have made updates based on your feedback. More feedback is always welcome (please try to make it CONTRUCTIVE feedback)...
