Hi!
In Reset magazine Issue 9 was written about Freedom Expansion Unit cartridge... (abbreviation FEU) In all ways is very useful and for C128 especially, it features: - EasyFlash compatible - External Kernal (for Commodore 128 too) - Freeze cartridge (can be used with Action Replay compatible cartridge images) - C128 External Function ROM (No comment - for me everytime wanted) - Clockport (included for Ethernet and RTC addition) - 128kB SRAM - 1MB Flash ROM
I was searching for any web about or so... nothing found. Knows anybody where to get more info?

While I hadn’t been aware of that project until I saw this thread just now, the bit where it claims to be a C128-compatible EasyFlash work alike immediately grabbed my attention.
The last commentary I encountered on that particular subject stated fairly authoratively that (due to the very different low-level electrical characteristics of each model's system bus) implementing it would require an entirely new approach if it were even possible at all, so if these people have actually figured out a way to do so, I am EXTREMELY interested. Really hope this turns out to not be vaporware!

In my eyes it is great - I hope that it'll be finished.
I hope that The Ace OS is not marked as vaporware - yes, development is too long but I have also other tasks in life than The Ace - I'm doing all possible and hope that my work will be not priceless (for confusion - it will be freeware).

Erk! I was thinking solely of this specific announcement, which as you point out appears to have no evidence of actual existence beyond that single article you mentioned — no commentary on your own well-documented projects was intended. Indeed, it would be quite hypocritical of me to sneer about the slow pace of anyone else's work when none of my own works' progress has advanced AT ALL in at least a year. In other words, I sympathize with people who are committed but experiencing serious delays; I am, on the other hand, merely irritated by those who announce unrealized dreams as though they were imminently to be available for purchase.

I am very excited to hear about this too! I don't think I can think of a single cartridge for the 128 itself rather than a 64 cart that "works" on the 128 (in 64 mode).

This here seems to be a list of carts that work in the C128 mode. That is, they will not make the C128 switch into C64 mode.

Super Snapshot has no C128 mode; it can be had with a disable switch so that when plugged into the C128, it does not force the machine into C64 mode. Having all the SS's, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm
