Last September I went to New Zealand and Australia. In Australia I visited 3 Commodore/Amiga user groups. I was reminded that I didn't make a general announcement (though my Facebook friends saw right away when I posted the same photos there). So now, here are links to the photos I took of those groups.
I especially like the MIDI keyboard shown (1st image of your second link). I am still fascinated by MIDI and the SID chip... I'm still searching for a MIDI -> SID converter program... Does anyone have suggestions? Please post! (I wrote [on paper] a generic idea to convert MIDI to SID, but never found the time/motivation to complete/test the idea... mostly due to no real MIDI hardware.)
The reason this fascinates me is: there is a large reservoir of music in MIDI format on the web (of course this is greatly dwarfed by newer technologies like MP3 etc.). Even though MIDI isn't bleeding-edge audio these days, there is a lot of MIDI music that could be easily(?) converted to the C64 and C128 if only such a MIDI-2-SID program exists...
I also appreciate the photos from your first and third link, RobertB! I've never been an Amiga enthusiast, although I respect the power of the Amiga's Motorola 68x00 CPUs. ANYWAY, thanks for sharing!!
