Hi!
Today I was working on my DCR opened and wired power switch to front panel and all was working good, I turned on then off computer and all was ok, then I left DCR turned on and forgot to turn off... Then I tried to move DCR bit left to be sure all is ok and in moment DCR self-turned off - I was aware that went anything wrong... Turning computer on again helped not - no more turned on.
I have only one Q: How to differentiate between PSU dead or computer dead?
And if it is PSU, how high is chance that I buy DCR EU 220V PSU?
Thank you all. Miro

first check the fuses ,2nd check for 5vDC 9vAC and 12vDC on the power supply cable that plugs into the main-board the black- and yellow+ should be 12vDC , next set of wires black- red+ 5vDC, next set of wires brown and white 9vAC 220v power supply's are harder to find than the 110v versions , but 99% of the failures can be component level repaired and as always make sure 40/80 column on the keyboard is not depressed

At that moment was keyboard not connected. Ok - I need voltmeter (if it is called also in English too). I own Multimeter for measurement of many types and variable rates of electronic components - but this I don't know to use.
Maybe else one Q: Is possible to check that C128DCR is ok without PSU?
Thank you. Miro

Are 128D and 128DCR PSU exchangeable? No, the power supplies between a plastic C128D and a metal C128DCR are not interchangeable. Writing the day after CommVEx, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm
