In another thread here, I asked about BASIC 3.5 for the C64 (as I had never heard of one for the C64). I looked for my reference list of all the programming languages and BASIC extensions for Commodore computers. I found that it had moved to
Basic 7.80 is not by any company. It's created by Robert Willie aka Hydrophilic.
Name 7.80 is like Basic 7 for 80 columns... or Basic 7 for VDC. It adds no one command to Basic 7.0, but extends parameters to use it with VDC.
Example: GRAPHIC6,1 set VDC 640x200 pixel graphic mode and clears screen...
It's pretty nice done and I'm thankful to Robert... So, this is reason why is listed nowhere and only some people know about. It needs more publicity.
To Basic 3.5 for Commodore 64: If found words about in old Slovak Commodore 64 magazine and later I found it - but really I don't remember where. Also other computers have extensions - like VIC20 Basic 4.0 and 5.0 - but these are known.
So, here's Basic extension collection what I have. Includes: C64 V3.5, C64 V4.0, VIC20 V4.0, VIC20 V5.0, Plus/4 V2.0, Plus/4 Octasoft V7.0 (taken from C128's 7.0), C128 V7.80, C128 V8.0.1, C128 V8.0.2, Ultimax Mini and Max Basic, DTV Basic V0.9. I have also anything mysterious - named Basic 9.1 - for C128 - but really don't know where is extended... Content is downloaded from internet as free.
Commodore 64 was great, Commodore 128 is bigger, better, faster and more powerful... Commodore 65 was almost here, now is back in Mega 65 and is more than ever was...

I'm considering tackling a port of a program from C64 BASIC 2.0 into C128 BASIC 7.0. I'm not sure how far I'll get, but I just thought I'd give it a try. I know there was a port of MetaBASIC for the 128 and I thought I would use that as a programming aid. What BASIC aids do you guys use beside this, or instead of MetaBASIC? Was there ever a ScrollEdit for the 128?
