Working around the house the other day, I came across the 1986 Hewson Consultants' commercial package for "Demolition Mission - the Alleykat Space Racer." I had known the game as Alleykat, because it had been on the C64 DTV, and I thought of it as just being a C64 game. However, on the outside of the commercial package, one of the features listed is "Special features incorporated for C128's." Curious, I opened up the package and read the flyer of instructions. Near the end, under the category "C128 Special Operation," it says, "Demolition Mission automatically will detect a C128 and use the double speed CPU to provide extra bullets and longer Katerkillers." (Katerkillers being the caterpillar-like beings in the game)

Ah, I just checked with the Commercial Commodore 128 Specific Software/Hardware list. Alleykat is already listed there. And I thought I made a new discovery... Knowing what the C128 does to the game is interesting, though, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htmSouthern California Commodore & Amiga Network www.portcommodore.com/sccan
