I only hope I didn't screw anything up with the RAMLink code. Yeah it looks all right; you're viewing a directory but plug a RAMLink in. Can you even boot a file anymore? And what about the swap buttons, and does it still turn on Jiffydos in either mode? Those questions are the most pertinent to me at this time. Ah, we did not test it out with a RAMLink. We'll have to do that in the future (I don't have access to the RL's right now... don't ask... long story). However, we will run WsDos at this upcoming Sunday's FCUG meeting. We ran WsDos with a few of the new, commercial, C64 games from England. Sometimes it loaded the game with Burst load; other times, the game would kick out WsDos's Burst load feature. Yes, his C128DCR is in very good condition. His 1084-S monitor needs some case work, though. Hope you guys have a good time at the SCCAN meeting tomorrow. What time does it start anyway? If I know, I can plan to be around in here at about the same time in case anyone has a question. Ah, I saw this message too late. However, our FCUG meeting starts this upcoming Sunday at 11 a.m. California time. We don't get settled into the hardware and software until about 12:30 or 1 p.m.. The meeting then runs until way past 2. First it said I used Windows. I'm using Linux I mean come on I only have XP as an alternate OS so I can run WinVICE and some games. Now it says I am using a KIM-1. No, those are just your "honorary" designations on this forum, depending on how many messages you post. Everybody starts off with the "Windows" designation. After a few postings, you graduate to "KIM-1" status. After more and more postings, you attain other levels of status. As you can see, I'm at Plus/4 status, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htmSouthern California Commodore & Amiga Network www.portcommodore.com/sccanJune 9-10 Pacific Commodore Expo NW 2018 - www.portcommodore.com/pacommexAug. 11-12 Commodore Vegas Expo v14 2018 - www.portcommodore.com/commvex

Thank you for putting it in a very polite way.
I have mixed feelings about it. The monitor case is broken, there are visible cracks, and the door at the bottom does not stay close. I have to carry it with the screen upwards or else it may fall off the case.
But the screen still shows a very sharp image. Plus this monitor works with the C64, the C128 (in both column modes) and the Amiga 1000. Very versatile.

I don't know how to use the quote function but thanks for the KIM-1 info, Robert. I feel pretty dumb now heheh. And knowing if WsDos works with a RAMLink isn't really as important to me as it must have sounded. I was just curious. As for the PDF I was just looking at it again earlier and I think it has download value. I covered some things there not really covered in detail in the doc file. It's only lacking a few graphical niceties ie the cover art but it's still pretty much done. Nonefornow your monitor case issue could probably be fixed if you could get a hold of some junked 1084. And yes I know they work with Amigas, I had a 500 and a 600HD back in the day

I dunno. I really don't feel like messing with the PDF anymore, especially after not being able to find the original text. It's going to need some checking out. If I can restore this to source then I can edit it again, and I like that cover art. There are a few mistakes that need to be changed. Thanks for the pic

Hey this has been awesome, man. Over 1150 views. I'm going to close this thread on my part now. There has been enough pertaining to documentation that I now feel I can go ahead and croak, or whatever. I DID say I was posting for posterity but I never thought it would get this big. Too burnt out man, ya know? I will reply from now on at my gmail account, if anything. Nice Forum sidswlan@gmail.com

We ran WsDos with a few of the new, commercial, C64 games from England. Sometimes it loaded the game with Burst load; other times, the game would kick out WsDos's Burst load feature. At Sunday's FCUG meeting, we also tried out WsDos 7.1. The results were about the same... sometimes the commercial games would Burst Load with WsDos... sometimes they would kick out the Burst Load. Having the disk wedge in WsDos was handy, though. The members surprised there was new C128 software, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group - www.dickestel.com/fcug.htmSouthern California Commodore & Amiga Network - www.portcommodore.com/sccanJune 9-10 Pacific Commodore Expo NW 2018 - www.portcommodore.com/pacommexAug. 11-12 Commodore Vegas Expo v14 2018 - www.portcommodore.com/commvex
