It's getting annoying that spam is getting onto the forum when a guest logs in and deposits it. When the spam is discovered, it should be immediately be deleted, and the guest user should be banned.

I thought that mirkosoft was the global moderator. But nothing is happening to stop the spam.

I hit "report" with a reason of "spam" whenever I encounter one of these. There is a delay of anywhere from a few hours up to a month or two before whomever receives them notices, but it has always hitherto happened eventually.

I asked mirkosoft to make me a moderator and he agreed. Since I log on almost daily, I will now strive to stop the spammers as soon as I see them. Feel free to use the report-function as well. The original forum-founder VDC 8x2 has not logged in since 2018, this makes me a little afraid that the forum may stop working should ProBoards decide to stop their service. Hopefully this will not happen anytime soon, but you never know...
I moved the discussion here since it felt misplaced in the Z64K-thread.

tokra have you still been struggling with spam user sign-ups? If so, let me know. I've discovered a way of filtering many of these "spam-bots" out. I had a problem with them a couple weeks ago, over on c64forum.com. But, I made an adjustment to the registration rules that seems to have stopped the influx of spam-bot fake registrations.

Not so much recently. Maybe once every few months now. I'm not a full admin here anyway. Sadly "VDC 8x2" has not been seen in ages.
