Hee hee. Yes I am a trekkie and I'll tell you that on any day of the week. None of you have HONOR unless you view this LATEST comedy. It will either make you say "KA'PLAH!", or perhaps you might want to wash your mouth out with soap. ENGAGE! www.youtube.com/watch?v=_HzRGqvRK8U

No engage! The video has been removed. Your mind is my mind. My mind is your mind. Damn, I'm getting a "no data" error. Might be a bad case of gas, dunno.

I was a trekkie. Two weeks ago, I discovered The Expanse and I am no longer a trekkie and I don't think I ever will be again.
Having a space/sci-fi show that properly portrays the laws of gravity and inertia is something very addictive.

Cool, the 22nd century version with Archer! That had potential, was still trying to figure out the inertial dampers. I like the new cartoon "Lower Decks"; it's about time someone pumped some more life into the franchise.

I recently subscribed to "CBS ALL ACCESS" and promptly watched all episodes of "Lower Decks" which was a show I got quite a kick out of during it's first run on CBS. I got into "Discovery" after that and I didn't even make it until the end of the season until I saw two gay dudes kissing. I wrote CBS a nasty email and I was like "out of there". Call me homophobic, or whatever you like but if I can watch this kind of stuff then so can kids - and then my stomach got upset with the idea of paying them money or even watching anything else they had to show me- obviously, I cancelled my membership like any normal human being.
I am from a different age. I am NOT politically correct nor shall I ever be. Back in the day, our parents raised us differently, and that's a big reason why I couldn't get along with the administrators of Compuserve's "CBMAPP" forum, which largely had people like XXXXXX [name edited out] - the worlds worst communist - running the show back in the 1990's and early 2000's.
I did play a number of C-128 "Star Trek" games back then and they were fun but you had to invest a bit of imagination.

Since it’s a show about the future they should have way more of those kinds of things to be believable but I guess they need to hold back a bit.
They portay trans characters later on, which is something they could and should have done long ago as well. There’s an episode in TNG that explores the subject. There’s a gender-less species on a planet and the story revolves around some of them feeling like they are either women or men and being seen as ”sick” people that needs to be cured because of their feeling of not belonging in their assigned gender.
Remember that Star Trek has a history of being progressive and I think that’s a good thing.

I liked it better when "progressive" meant a white man (Kirk) kissing a black woman (Ohura) but that's just me. Everyone has choices and at my age I shouldn't even be debating it. High time I shut my mouth about this because I see nothing good will come of it but more strife. I did own a few Star Trek games in my time I think my favorite was that old PC game "Armada II" where you could play online and fight for the Federation, the Romulans, the Borg, the Klingons etc.

The only Star Trek themed game I have enjoyed is Netrek. An old multiplayer game that I played in school on monochrome screens.
