O.M.F.G... I tried using Tamanthes again to make a VIC-II image for image comparison, but for the love of God Almighty, I can't get the damn thing to work! I even tried following the Help file "Step-by-step tutorial by Deev/Onslaught (Thanks again, Simon!)". But it doesn't work... well first, that tutorial seems to be written by some retarded crack-head... sorry if that offends you Deev/Simon, but I call them like I see them. The stupid tutorial jumps back and forth in the instructions (for example, "This is done by selecting the second layer and using... as explained earlier."). FYI for everyone's benefit, if you are writing a tutorial, explain things in order... don't talk about crap first and then latter in the middle of complex procedure refer the reader back to the previous junk. Sometimes I do that in my forum posts, but only because I am not writing a step-by-step tutorial!!
Really it should be called, "step by step by double back-step by triple forward step by step tutorial"... if that isn't retarded crack-head talk, then I don't know what is!
More importantly, for me, image conversion with Timanthes involves numerous manual steps (in particular, selection of a background color)... guess it would be fun to toy with if you have time to kill, but if you have work to do, it sucks a Big Gulp (umm, I think that is copyright 7-Eleven).
If anyone can give a REAL step-by-step tutorial, then do tell, thanks!
FYI, I was able to use Timanthes at least once in my lifetime (to generate VIC-II interlace images) but for the Love of God it seems I have gone stupid and can't even generate a normal image today. In my old age, I'm loosing intelligence, or patience, or both
