The .rar above includes both dnp and D81 versions. But, just for future reference, how can a dnp be converted to a D81?

My C128DCR has giving some problems. First the screen would not show in the 80C, then intermittently the C1571 would not read the diskettes, now at turn on the screen will show the green banner but not the "ready" prompt and I have to reset the drive for the "ready". If you bring your C128DCR to the May SCCAN meeting, I can give it to Ray Carlsen for repair when I see him in late June/early July. Then I can pick up the repaired machine at Thanksgiving when I see him again. Or if you prefer, you can give me the machine at CommVEx, and then I can give it to Ray during Thanksgiving. Sorry I did not post updates on this. The issue somehow resolved itself. I asked around at one of the meeting some time ago (maybe was in November 2014) . What I did was to pull out the drive, did not really see anything wrong with it, and put it back in. I had some difficulties remembering the order of the pins. c-128.freeforums.net/thread/114/help-pin-128d-disk-drive
But after that has been working OK. To the 128DCR I further added speakers, the RTC, a keyboard cover, and a 1581 external drive, and the GEOS chip . Then for a while I started spending more time tinkering with the A1000.
For the 128DCR I am now looking for a good monitor. The plastic frame of my 1084S is broken and it looks as if the screen may just fall out. After last year CommVEx I am afraid of moving it for that reason.
In any case thank you for the offer.

For this purpose, what would be the difference between the C128D and the 128DCR.?

From the moment I turn the switch on to the moment the pointer is visible and available I clocked 30.58 seconds, in 80c.
Next I'll try to remove the ROM and load straight from disk. Let's see what happens.

As I understand the Commodoreserver.com was designed to be accessible with the Comet64. Pricewise the Comet64 was also somewhat more affordable. Not WiFi though. But it looks as if they are making a version of the Comet64 also wireless. cometplus.net/
