bjonte: I don't plan to adapt compilers at this point, because it would complicate my development environment and I want to create TRIANGULAR μOS in BASIC interpreters It’s not a compiler. It just turns on 2 MHz to speed up BASIC.

It would be interesting to see if Speedbasic128 would help enough to compensate for the slower BASIC.

Here is a variant that can be loaded using BLOAD from a BASIC program and started with SYS4864:

Oooo, perhaps we can use this program while we design the BASIC 7.0 C128 game at the Commodore Los Angeles Super Show 2023. Yes, sure! I should fix a variant that doesn’t have a BASIC line so it can be loaded and started with SYS inside a BASIC program.

I made a small program to turn on 2 MHz in the border while using BASIC in 40 column mode: speedbasic128.prg

It doesn't run in C128-mode, does it? No, it runs in C64 mode since it’s a C64 cartridge image.

Is the trick to run then jump or jump then run? It takes a bit of practice to hit the ball accurately. I guess a start would be just jumping straight up at first. When a bit more skilled, you can jump and hit the ball while running. The next step is turning on dash and learn how to dash in the air to smash the ball over the wall with greater power. Then you will be able to run up to the wall and block the ball from entering your side and at the same time dash to make it harder for the opponent to get control over the ball. When you and a friend start mastering this the game shines.
