Since we have FPGA replacements for most of the custom chips now, I would love to a C128 MB shrunk down as much as possible with an ITX form factor or smaller. Any ideas?

Is the Ki-CAD file available? My dream is to make something like the NEO 128 but with as many of these kind of modernizations as possible on board
The VIC II now has and FPGA replacement, the SID has several versions that have paddle support. Ram is clearly done, we are really close to NEW C-128 that only need to be hooked up to programmer to function.

I didn't know where else to put this. If there is a better place for this, please feel free to move it.
I'm been switching to Linux as my main OS lately. Anyone using Linux knows that in the community there is an almost religious dedication to using the command line.
I'm wondering if there is a way to put Petscii, or some modern incarnation of it, into the kernel so that even without a GUI or XWindows system loaded, Linux would still have the basic graphic capabilities of every Commodore since the PET!
In spite of nearly 40 years of computer experience I feel like I'm starting from scratch in Linux. A Petscii terminal would go a long way toward making the low level of the system feel more comfortable.

Partly for fun, and partly because Mac&Cheese is a delicacy for me on my budget, I would like to make a PS2 to Commodore 128 Adapter. I figure something like an Arduino teensy is the way to go.
Anyone have a better idea?

The major reason I love the C-128 is it's numeric keypad. This is a COMPLETE non-starter for me without that. Although maybe If I could fit in real C128 case.
Also... If you're going to re-do the C128 Motherboard, how adding the C512k Transactor mod that allowed for more banks of C128 RAM.

Could the chip be set up to load from a UIEC device? I would love to get a GEOS chip in my 128's, but doubt I'll ever use a real floppy ever again.
