Do you have it set to device 9? The 128 does not like 2 device 8s.

It seems like an impossible project, and therefore perfect for C128. Would extra hardware would be needed, sd2iec, easyflash?

It looks like you get color artifacting on your monitor, Witzo, which I didn't think digital monitors would do. That is (was) one of the things holding me back from converting from 1901 or 1702 to a more modern display. One of the few things I don't like about VICE is the lack of artifacting and that really in the sense it just doesn't display what my system does.

... dumb it down and call it a feature, smart phone compatibility... once upon a time, back when I had a 486-SX20, (early to mid '90s) GEOS was a cool GUI for intel compatible PC owners.

I have the 1764, to use the Eprom socket it would need to have the solder removed. So, a job if one has no real soldering skill or the desire to do it. Those holes look smaller every day. 63 year old eyes.

I suppose a really well done pdf scan could be worth it. I don't remember if Bombjack has this, but most of those scans are pretty good. I scanned the Plus/4 manual years ago. Ugh... the doin' and the result.
