I'm accessing BASIC RAM under ROM, lda #$0c, sta $ff00 , jsr code.
all I'm trying to do is, in basic I'm reading a table into a string, then poking that string into memory. I attempted $bea8, until $bf92. all that's in that area is a bunch of pollable data.. petscsii characters, numbers, spaces... the code under basic rom begins at $9000 and carries over until $BFFF*Eventually* I'm trying to store data from basic, into $bea8. 234 chars.
what's the protocol to bank BASIC ROM out, and store the data underneath. or, can i just save the chunk of data as something like $0000 - $00ea, and then somehow in my index source code do an. .binary $bea8 'table'?
I'm not very efficient via vice monitor... to sum it all up, I'd like to have a chunk of memory, that can be attached as a binary file, to somewhere in the $b000 - $bfff and once rom is banked out, it can be read,,
Thanks for listening..
