I've been putting together this archive of all of the games I have been able to find that are specifically for the C128. As of this posting, I have gathered up 46 individual titles. This, of course, does not include the compilation of 500+ text adventure games that thanatos published here previously. However, I did include that zip file at the end of the list. What amazed me was, how many of the games were written simply using BASIC 7.0. I was thinking about the upcoming BASIC 7.0 gaming workshop that robertb mentioned on another thread. There might be some good examples there for inspiration or to build upon. Anyway, if you'd like to check it out, here's the LINK. I'll be adding more as I track down any more games to add. Next on my to-do list is gathering up a bunch of card games from the Loadstar 128 disk mag. If you know of any games out there that aren't in my list (apart from what's on Loadstar 128), feel free to add them here so I don't miss them.

Actually, no, I didn't think of doing that. I've just been building the list from the disk or prg files I have in my collection or could find on-line. That's a pretty comprehensive listing, but I'd like to have the program file to go along with the games that I include in my archive. But, at least the LaunchBox database gives me titles I can go searching for. Thanks for mentioning it!

Well, I count 31 games from the Games section of this forum that you have not listed. Thanks robertb , I will sure to get those added (minus the ones that require you purchasing them - I don't want to distribute what can be considered "retail" titles)! Of course xahmol , I appreciate that! I hope you don't mind if I put copies of them in my archive for sharing. The Lunchbox database didn't include download links (that I could see), so the one''s you've provided are a big help! What I find surprising is the number of games for the C128 there actually are out there, once you start digging. Sure, not as many games as there are for the C64, but one of the common misconceptions I think most people have is that there's only been a handful of games ever written for our beloved C128. I'm pleasantly surprised to see discover the opposite, in reality.

The difference is, I'm also trying to archive the actual programs, so it's easier for people to download and play them (only free games, that is). I was finding games in different places on different web sites, but thought it might be nice to have them together in one spot. Also, some of them were on d64s, others in prg, or self extracting archive files, etc. which might be a bit confusing for those who are new to the whole Commodore 8 bit computing scene. But the listing of the titles definitely help. This fits in to what jmpff3d was saying here: c-128.freeforums.net/post/4511/thread

Am I allowed to shamelessly plug my own C128 games? These have now been added to the archive.
