Here is something I was reading about today: oxymoron(s)... a phrase composed of two contradictory terms. Here are a few to get you started:
jumbo shrimp bitter sweet
but in the list I was reading, quite lengthy, there were a few computer related terms that I found particularly funny (guess that makes me a nerd). The list I saw was huge, but here are a few that I remember:
Advanced BASIC Microsoft Works constant variable
Well, either my memory is bad, or that is all the computer-related oxymorons in the long list I was reading (sorry, it's not public so I can't give a link). I'm sure you could find more with a web search, but just wondering if any of you know of some computer oxymorons?
Edit irregular pattern bug fix click the start button to shut down (in this case a 'term' is a phrase of several words) easy problem
On a tangent topic, another word for Oxymorons is Oxymora. I'm not a linguistic scholar (and DEFINATELY NOT a language Nazi), but it seems Oxymorons is at least "acceptable" today, while Oxymora is the more "traditional" (soon-to-be-archaic?) plural form of Oxymoron. /Edit

Nobody has another computer-related oxymoron?
Here is one more I thought of... it is more science / engineering than strictly computer-related... but anyway:
first second (the initial second of a multi-second [minutes, hours, etc.] process)

MOVSPR n#0
This form of MOVe-SPRite actually 'un-moves' a sprites (stops animation). I guess that is only funny if you are C128 nerd... I'm putting on my asbestos suit, now, in anticipation of intense flames!

I hope that's funny, cuz I ain't gonna explain it!

Movie theatre operators everywhere should be embarassed by this one, though I admit it isn’t computer-related: “Evening Matinée”
Another old favourite is “military intelligence.”
