I don't know if anyone watches Halt and Catch Fire on AMC, but you should watch it. It is about the computer industry in the 80's. On the last show the Commodore 64 was featured prominently in an on line gaming company. Kind of cool to see the C64 in such a predominant role .

Well the c64 was big on gaming in its day.

Since Mad Men has ended, I guess I'll be watching more of Halt and Catch Fire. AMC sure does a good job with original programming. Like Breaking Bad and the Walking Dead are popular too (or so I've heard)

Been watching more of Halt and Catch fire... cool to see C64 and C1701 in action... although the display does not seem to be authentic.
Imagine that... Hollywood making stuff up?

I would agree that the display does not look authentic, however it is still very cool.

In the most recent episode of Halt and Catch Fire (sorry, don't know episode name), there were many shots of C64 (computer) and C1701 (monitor) and 1541 (disk drive) and some modem... a 1650 or 1660 presumably (a 1670 unlikely)... hell I never owned a CBM modem (just used a friends) so I could be wrong...
Regardless, nice to see classic (err, vintage) computer technology "preserved" by modern video drama (despite errors with actual historical fact).
Well maybe one day an AUTHORITY like NOVA/PBS will publish accurate truth... but until then, it is nice to see CBM history preserved in some fashion (even if fictional).

RIP Halt and Catch Fire. It appears that the AMC show Halt and Catch Fire is no more. I don't think that we will see ever again a TV show that features any vintage Commodore computer. Sorry to see you go.

I should have gone to AMC in the first place. It appears that I was wrong and it has been picked for a third season. Sorry for the wrong info.

Well season 2 was extremely short with only 6 episodes... unless there are some more that I missed (or have not been released yet). I was thinking it was cancelled too... thanks for letting us know it is not dead yet
