For now I'm only one developer. Our team crashed at december 2013...
Short info: I'm collecting code from team members, doing modifications and needed patches - for one purpose only:
First live release Very lite with not full features, possible to test in VICE for testing and deciding if you're still interest in or not more) Suggestions can be placed here, for example which features are most wanted etc.

OK, please don't give me deadline. I do all what is possible, currently I do it from begin to end: from boot sequence to full operating... boot sequence first checks state of installation, so I must now to create installed system, then - check all and in free time do the installation procedure. I can't to do installation procedure before running system 'cause some req'd parts must to be corrected.
My C128 is for me more than PC, but really I'm developing all in Windows and for now my Windows looks bad, I go to change MB and after reinstall and all customization & tuning I can continue.
Also for The Ace is now too old Icon Editor, missing Font Editor for proportional fonts, so I must to develop it and will publish and finally when will be all checked and working after release I publish universal developing tool for applications for The Ace "Taste" studio for PC later in real The Ace.

The Ace news: - finally website is online, look at www.theace.sk- live blog created too, will be updated frequently, website stays like is, look at commodore-ace-os.blogspot.sk/- real work is here again, my PC is finished, customized and tuned - bad news: I can't to catch 30th Commodore 128 birthday at 4.1.2015, so I believe that year 2015 will be released The Ace too... The ACE sounds really cool. I have been following its development for years... almost as long as my C128 Media Player... don't know if that is good or bad, but it shows that C128 programmers are DEDICATED! I wish the same could be said about, oh I don't know, MS Windows? Hahahahaha, yeah for a multi-billion dollar company, they still manage to suck ass!
Edit 1 P.S., a clicked on your link www.theace.sk and after many seconds (60+) it FINALLY displayed a web page. I don't know if this is an international issue or just a slow response from your web server, but thought I should let you know it is slow... many users (those not hard-core like me) might give up long before that... Umm, not sure if there is anything you can do to fix it, but wanted to let you know... because I think your site is important to the C128 community and would hate to see people "abandon" a link that is slow.
Edit 2 Your ACE blog (commodore-ace-os.blogspot.sk/) loads really fast, but it has very little information. Because it is new, I understand. I hope it will better in the future!

Hi! Thanks for replies. I created blog in few minutes and now I feel not like hostage of internet, adding post there is easy and quick - that I wanted and it is. Now I can focus finally on development, I'm sad that I can't catch C128 birthday at 4.1.2014, but I want to give for C128 users gift to year of anniversary of C128 - this means 2015 Miro

Hi Miro, I've seen on your website that you still plan to support Dallas Smartwatch (DS1216E) as a solution for RTC: have you already done some work for it?
I own one (bought new from DigiKey), I plugged it into the internal function rom socket U36 and wrote some (ugly) assembly code to support reading and setting time, but It never worked; I don't know if I'm doing something wrong (which could certainly be the case due to my limited skill with 8502 assembler) or if the IC just doesn't work.

I remember reading about the Dallas RTC (probably on the old "forum that was")... can you give me more info? I only have 1571 and uIEC so I don't have any RTC capability, and would like to add that feature to my C128 by some method (like that empty [EP]ROM socket).
Edit Sorry for going off-topic, Miro... I still want to see your ACE run on my C128... but I don't have SCPU or REU so I might need an upgrade /Edit
