Lately I have been seeing people boast of this modification. What’s the gimmick? Is it simply always on JD mode, or is there something more clever to it?

"boulderdash" sells these on eBay. His eBay store is aaascrapdogsunlimited. This is what he has to say about the operation. "This board is set to boot to JIFFYDOS by default to boot to the c= kernal hold down the RESTORE key when booting the commodore 64." www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=57144

I sell them on ebay the board has a simple IC circuit that will switch between jiffydos and the c= kernal when you hold down the restore key on a vic-20 or c64 or SX-64 or the caps lock on a 128 128d 128dcr or press the reset switch on a plus4 or c16 that way you do not need to drill a hole in your case ken.

Speaking of Jiffydos for the Commodore 128DCR, can anyone help in getting a Jiffydos replacement for the Kernal in the 128DCR? I do not need Jiffydos for the internal 1571, I already have one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Thanks for the help. However I do not have a eprom burner create a usable rom. store.go4retro.com sells the legal hardware ROMs with switch to toggle between standard and jiffydos. It isn’t a ROM download site.
