While I was doing a Net search for homebrew games, I came across the 2013 game, Bomberland. www.rgcd.co.uk/2013/10/bomberland-c64-2013.htmlThe interesting bit is that it is enhanced for the C128 - "The game also supports the Commodore 128 in 64 mode, using its extended hardware registers for acceleration." Another one to add to the list of C128 enhanced games, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm

I should do a comparison on what it's like with or without a 128.

I should do a comparison on what it's like with or without a 128. My thoughts, too. I've ordered the cartridge. Let's see how long it takes to get here. Truly, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm

The cartridge arrived today, about 2 weeks after I ordered it. Though I ordered the basic package, it still came with a mini-poster of instructions and artwork, a blank code sheet on which to write down codes after each game level, and another mini-poster and a couple of postcards showing off another RGCD.co.uk game. The cartridge itself was in an orange casing and was wrapped in a poly-bag which was inside a printed box. There were even more printed instructions in the box! Though it came too late to include in the FCUG meeting agenda for this Sunday, we will definitely highlight it for the full club test at the March club meeting. Wow, it seems like they have rather high production values, or maybe you are so popular they recognized you by name and sent you the "deluxe edition" for evaluation/promotional purposes?
Either way, it sounds like the cartridge was "newly minted", as opposed to a recycled cartridge? If so (new), then I would vote for "high production value" because (correct me if I'm wrong), you can't purchase new/unused C64 cartridge shells? or can you? The fact that it is ORANGE instead of BLACK also suggests NEW.
Traditional injection molding is quite expensive (at least in terms of start-up/investment)... the only alternative I can imagine would be 3D printing... but that would take a ridiculous amount of time and cost for something as simple as a cartridge shell (.... as far as I know).
Big sprites and great music? Cool! Awaiting reports of the full test...

The fact that it is ORANGE instead of BLACK also suggests NEW. Cartridge shells can be bought new from Tim Harris of sharewareplus.blogspot.com/ (that's where I bought the cartridge cases for the Sound Ultimate Expander 6400), from Individual Computers, and from another manufacturer in Poland (whose name I don't have). Tim's cartridges come in many colors as do the carts from Individual Computers. The Polish cartridges only come in black. The most expensive cart cases are from IC, the next most expensive from Tim, and the cheapest from Poland. Bomberland had a casing from IC. Identified from the engraving in the back of the casing, Robert Bernardo Fresno Commodore User Group www.dickestel.com/fcug.htm
