I have the .cvt files converted and on a floppy disk. Do I need GEOS .Dxx on the UIEC in order to use it as a drive? I hope to be able to run WHEELS 128 and get access to the UIEC. I made a directory "SD2IEC" on the UIEC. Hardware: C=128, 1571, 1581 and 512 ram. I put run and s128 on WHEELS disk. After reading the manual several times, i can not see how to connect to the UIEC. Is there a special way to set things up that is not explained in the manual?

Yep, but not too many. I tried to become a serious GEOS user once but gave up on it. I just felt too restricted by its drive limitations. Geos likes different "boot" file and "config" file depending on the drive which is booted from. From here follow the links to select and download the appropriate files which you will need to build you GEOS. cbmfiles.com/index.php
