I just joined becasue long-time C128 forum is down. I want to encourage everyone to develope sotware for the C128 because I don't have the time to do it all myself So I'll be posting some software (executible and source code) that hopefully will educate/inspire people!! I hope you don't think I am spamming the boards Since this my first post, I feel obligated to do an about me. I'm sure you don't really care, but I saved up and got a VIC-20 around 1983. Skipped the C64 (although played with my friends), and got a Plus/4 around 1985. Not longer after I got a C128... started with a 1541 disk drive and later got a 1571. Cracked a bunch of games and wrote some software. Years later (2005 or so) there was an explosion in C= emulation. Later I got a replacement C128, later still got uIEC, and then built several RGBI adapters. I still enjoy writing software for C128 and playing with hardware.

Welcome aboard!
My first computer was a Vic20 then I graduated to a C128. I took it apart and put it back together so many times.
Working on software and Demos for C128 here.

I see the usual suspects are already here :-)
My first computer was VIC-20 as well on May, 20st 1985, and then I upgraded to a C128D on November, 21st 1986. Funny how I can still remember the exact dates after all these years. Can't really say that I "skipped" the C64, since this is what my older brother got for Christmas in 1984 and so my first steps on a real computer were with that.
Nowadays I did a few little graphic demos here and there, mostly for the VIC-20 but also some VDC-experiments on the C128.

Too many years ago I had the choice between a Heathkit H8 or a C64. Of course, I went with the C64. It was a tool that I used for years, but I put it in storage. Recently I pulled it out and cleaned it up to find out that it still worked. In those days I wanted a C128, so I found a C128DCR and have been banging on the keyboard and looking for old software.

I started out using a TRS-80 with a cup to connect at 300 baud if lucky and post local sports stories, but then my brother got the bug to program and started using Atari and C64. I liked the C64 and got one in '89, a C128 and Plus/4 in '91. I like to keep up to date with developments on my favorites, sadly my Plus/4 has died but I still have the C128 with a 1571, 1541-II, and 1764 and Magnavox Professional monitor ready at all times. Although I have little to offer at present programming wise and was never a hardware guy, I am glad to find myself here among the usual suspects from the late lamented Landover BBS.

Hi, just found out about this forum through hydrophilic. Thanks for putting up an alternate place to discuss C128 stuff! I just came into possession of some C128 programmers' guides, so have been giving them a look-over.
