Hi, Now that I am retired, I have time for my beloved c128d. I have been playing with cp/m and want to set the real time clock from my cmd hd replica on boot. I seems that we should be able to do this by reading the error channel on the cmd device with the submit and profile commands in cpm. Has anyone done this? Thanks, Bob

If the CMD-devices provide the RTC on the error channel you should first read this out and then use the extracted data to set the RTC. I have found the following to that can send commands over the serial port: www.herne.com/htk.htmMaybe that's a good starting point.

I am familiar with sport to send commands to change partitions and subdirectories. Thanks. I was a lighting designer and am used to creating macros on a lighting console, but submit and profile seem a little obtuse to me. I'll keep flailing and see what sticks.
