Yes, still interested! It would be fun trying to get it to work with a virtual com port or over wifi or something Even if it's just to look through the Commodore side assembly it would help me a lot. Thanks.

Is there windows software? I am actually compiling on a remote linux server and then copying the file to my windows desktop via scp. I suppose I could setup a remote IP serial port though.
Any chance I could get a copy of this code? Did you write it or is it commercial stuff?

Oooh, can I have details on the Serial port setup you have please? I want to do something similar. I would love to hear how you do it.

Yeah, VICE sucks for the VDC. DO NOT rely on it. The VDC emulation is not reliable at all, you should test every register change on real hardware and test your code often. I have pretty much moved to doing all testing on real hardware for the 128, it's a lot of SD swapping but it's better than wasting ages on code that doesn't work on real hardware.

Don't think so. I made a little assembly routine to do it for me. If you are using the VDC for stuff you can dump to the 40 col screen.

Every time I see a nice restored 128 I want to retrobright mine... Then I remember I enjoy playing on it and don't want to risk messing it up.
Interesting video though.

I don't currently need one but it's always nice to see work on making sure these machines live on!
Good work.

I am actually making some up at the moment. Can't remember where you are in the list, but sadly it's long and I am slow.
I was trying to arrange some proper manufacturing but it turns out that is harder than I thought.

did you ever get to try/demo the VGA version?
I am still waiting to hear how you got on with the video adapter I sent you. I hope things are going ok!

Still waiting to hear if you actually mean RGBI to VGA or just to RGB (does it output 15khz or 31khz?)
