I'm going to do a presentation on the Commodore 64/128 FM Radio Module at the July 29-30 Commodore Vegas Expo. I've had this module for over a year, but now the accompanying disk has been updated with AudioEX 2.0 that supports Commodore 128 in 128 mode and has a FM Radio App for GEOS! Sweet!
Yesterday I received the latest AudioEx disk for use with the C64/128 FM Radio Module. At CommVEx we'll see if we can get FM radio reception with the FM Radio Module while inside the Plaza Hotel, Ballroom 9.
Just as I suspected, there was no FM reception in the ballroom. However, that did not prevent Mario L. from doing a presentation on the hardware and software. The v2 software was a definite improvement over v1. C64 GEOS mode was so GUI-friendly... and C128 GEOS mode was so sharp and clear on the RGB monitor. Wow! When the video of the presentation gets posted, I'll let everybody know.
After seeing the kit for the Commodore I bought the same module and used in a DIY bedside clock radio I was building. I found it worked well if you have a decent antenna, length being critical. Being inside doesn't help either.
