If anyone knows of a 1541 fast load driver for the 128, please let me know. I'm looking for anything that can be initialized via Machine Language, but if it's a "runnable" program please send me a link or let me know some way to obtain it. I would ultimately use this driver to speed up drives under WsDos. Thanks in advance.

A C64 fast loader should work as-is if you prepare the bank in advance and not enable 2 MHz. I'm also annoyed by the requirement to turn off drives to use a fast loader, but it isn't strictly necessary. You need to find one that can be forced into using a 2-bit protocol without tampering with the ATN line.

I thought I replied to this already. I tried the software you mentioned; didn't get into it much though. The damn thing is COMPLICATED... lol

If you find one that can be initialized with a simple "sys" command, it's good lol- then anyone can make it into a driver heh heh. I only looked into this thing once - perhaps it deserves more of a look? At first glance it seemed like a lot of work though and I'm really not into getting that deep into how other people's stuff works unless it's easy to start, I guess. Where it resides in memory is also a plus to know, so that if need be, it can be stashed away in the last bank of the C-128 with the rest of my garbage lol - and knowing where to copy it to and start it from in bank 15 if need be, of course.
