Apparently there are also 2 additional ROMs. Super81 Utilities and FileBrowser. Super81 is the ROM version of an utilities package for the 1581 disk drive available also in diskette. But Filebrowser is a mystery. (I have another thread on that).

The .zip files contains 5 .cvt. After conversion, 2 of those are instruction guides. In english and german. Also place the autoexec file in your boot disk so UIECMAN will start automatically. After that it is pretty intuitive.

Hi, Although I am not really clear on the difference between UIEC and SD2IEC, in this video they are showing how to partition an SD2IEC. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JsVz6XF7HCMThe SD2IEC I am using has only 1 partition, I really never tried to see if it can handle more.

And just for reference the "Hard Tip" article was published on Commodore World - Issue 10 - Volume 2 - Number 5 - October 1995.

It is not straight forward as I would like but it does work. Here is what I did. First I download a plain GEOS128.D81 from cbmfiles.com/geos/index.phpThen I modified the image for my configuration - c128DCR with 16MB ramlink, RTC, fmradio, and joystick. I also downloaded the uiec manager from here (last in the list) wweicht.homepage.t-online.de/downloae.htm and added to my D81 image. Copied everything into the SD card and booted the SD2IEC as drive 9. Here is the screen at boot-up Then I adjusted the config file. Because I used a D81 image the config file thinks I have a 1581 disk drive. In order to change the image just re-launch the uiec manager file and select another image. I suppose there could be better way to do it. But this works for me.
