Hello, I've been playing around with an idea, and i've managed to make a little headway. After cross referencing BASIC ROM calls via the c64, and attempting to find there c128 equivalent, i'm here yet again! on the c64 (I know this is a c128 forum! ), basic rom call $B79B (GETBYTC). It takes a string, and stores its 0-255 value into the .x register. Does the c128 have such a feature? I greatly appreciate any input/advice..

Oziphantom: I actually found a way to duplicate the c64 kernal ROM. Although it takes an extra 25+ lines of source. I will look into your solution. THANKS !!!!! ALOT !!!!
