After a few delays and a lot of procrastination, I have finally got down to putting together a simple tool to build a customized GEOS 128 2.0 Kernal ROM.
GKCS can create a ROM image that works both as an internal (in the C128's empty socket) or external (in certain models of Commodore REU) function ROM. In order to use it, you must provide your own GEOS Serial Number (so as to retain full compatibility with any keyed applications you may have).
You can also specify both Drive Type (1541/71/81) and Device Number (8/9) to look for auto-execs (such as Configure) and deskTop, as well as a default Input Driver (currently joystick or 1351 mouse).
The tool is available at peeknpoke.com.ar/gkcs. Please beware this is still in BETA, and there are additional options already in the works. Suggestions and general feedback are welcome.
