Both websites, Bil Herd's C128.com and www.melon64.com, have been down for at least a couple of weeks. I've sent a e-mail message to Bil in regards to his website but have not had a response.

I don't visit those sites often. I'm hoping these might come back up! I'm hoping the waybackmachine 'backup' is somewhat recent.
... and even waybackmachine is down (but in their case it's to do with some AI snooper using all bandwidth)

I did a quick check on Melon64's DNS, and its nameserver is reporting no records exist even though the domain isn't expired. With C128.com down too, maybe Bil's moving them to new hosting. I hope he's fine.

So... is the Commodore extinct? Shall we throw it into the trash, or remember the memories? I prefer the latter.
Perhaps we can view this as a time when new discoveries about the inner workings of the 128 can be found. There are endless possibilities and there are certain people in this very forum who are exploring them as we speak.
