Hello! I'm new to using forums in general, so forgive me as I learn to navigate and interact. In short, I picked up a C128 from an estate sale, and It has a switch that makes the computer boot an OS that appears to be called "Hacker's Help (C) 1991" when booting in C64 mode. I can't find any record of hacker's help online, and I'm hoping someone here might recognize it or maybe give me some advice on how to figure out what exactly this OS can do.

I've attached a photo of the OS.

For anyone curious enough to mess with the ROM images, I believe C128 mode is corrupted.

It was common to 'personalize' your boot screens with custom messages, different colors for the border, background and character etc. Since it doesn't work (I assume in both 64 and 128 modes) then quite probably the 'hacker' overwrote the wrong areas.

Thank you for your help! I did some reading on the hexdump, and it looks like the previous owner wrote BASIC to U32 a couple of times. I'm guessing they made a mistake and didn't want to bother erasing the UVEPROM which would be in line with the theory that they made mistakes with the C128 mode too.
