Hi!
Always when is talking about Z80 CPU inside C128 words saying that is downclocked to ~2,5MHz for VIC2E sync.
I was searching about this and found some confusing and doubting info to words written above.
Z80 was manufacturing in NMOS and CMOS version.
Here are most known models (also most used):
NMOS Z80 = 2,5 MHz
NMOS Z80A = 4 MHz
NMOS Z80B = 6 MHz
NMOS Z80H = 8 MHz
CMOS Z80 = 4 MHz up to 20 MHz
So, when we are talking about Z80 then NMOS version is not downclocked, CMOS version is. When we look at A, B and H version we can see downclocking.
So, Q is here:
Which version of Z80 has C128 inside? And is it NMOS or CMOS version?
