Hi,
I'm looking for screen cabling for C64 and C128 (40 and 80 col). Is it possible to buy them? Do you have some address?
Best Ben

For 40-columns, there are 3 (or 4) options: - RF / coaxial cable (the requires an analog TV tuner and the quality is poor) -- NOT recommended
- Composite cable (mediocre quality / obvious color bleeding) -- here is one on eBay
- Separate Luma/Chroma (a.k.a., CVBS) (best quality) -- here is one on eBay
- S-Video (Luma/Chroma in one cable) (best quality) -- here is one on eBay
S-Video cable has the same signals as the separate Luma/Chroma plugs, so same quality (same thing with different plugs).
For 80-columns, there is no real standard... as I recall the Commodore 1902(A) monitor came with a special (color) cable for the C128.
You can buy monochrome 80-column cables: - Composite cable (low quality) -- here is one on eBay
- S-Video cable (low quality) -- could not find one on eBay today, but have seen them before!
If you have an RGBI monitor with a male DB-9 plug, here is a color cable on eBay.
If you are using some kind of RGBI to Composite/S-Video/VGA converter, then you would need a special cable... ask for details if interested...
Edit Almost forgot! I don't know where you live, but in Europe, other options using SCART (instead of Composite or S-Video) are also popular and widely available.
I am not affiliated with any of the sellers linked above... I do not endorse them, so use your own judgment/investigation before ordering. /Edit

I'm just receive a 1084S monitor with a Amiga :-) I think, I can connect a C128 in 40 and 80Col? No? But, It seems the Amiga cable isn't the same as C128. robertb, may be a stupid question, but who is Ray Carlsen?

I know I'm late to all this... but just know that your 1084 monitor can be used for both 40-column video (C64/C128) and 80-column video (C128).
Hopefully you can find the right cable(s) from prior posts of forum members... but if in doubt, just ask... we'll answer!

I actually use a 1080, which is similar to the 1084. The 1084 usually has stereo sound, but I have better luck using the 1080 (they just say Amiga on the front of the monitor) living longer, without any problems. I have found that the 1084 can have problems with the on/off switch - they are actually famous for this problem - and they can have internal troubles too. Right now I use the 1080 with my C-128 in both 40 & 80 column modes. I know there are better options, but this works, so I can use the 128.
