With all demos, I take what they do with a pinch of salt Fair enuf  The logo is moved entirely by modifying the screen & attribute base addresses and the X & Y smooth scroll registers. The scroller has fixed screen/attribute/Y smooth scroll values, but obviously the X smooth scroll varies each frame, independently of the logo. All but the X smooth register latch only once per frame, so to do the above would be impossible without the vdc-split method I employed in VDC101. |
